Lindsborg's Lofton named to Kansas State Fair Board
Governor Laura Kelly appointed Holly Lofton, Lindsborg, to the Kansas State Fair Board.
Lofton is the director of tourism for the Lindsborg Convention and Visitors Bureau. She also is a former member of Travel Industry Association of Kansas.
Lofton replaces Karen Hibbard of Manhattan as the TIAK nominee after Hibbard resigned her seat on the board to take a post with the Council on Travel and Tourism. Hibbard is vice president of the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce and the director of the Manhattan Convention and Visitors Bureau.
The purpose of the Kansas State Fair board is to promote and showcase Kansas agriculture, industry and culture; to create opportunity for commercial activity; and to provide an educational and entertaining experience that is the pride of all Kansans.
“Lofton has a diverse professional background that will further enable the board to showcase Kansas,” Kelly said. “She will be a great contributor to this important effort.”
