It’s easy to get lost in the “Details” of country hitmaker Billy
Currington's new summertime love song.
“Baby I memorized / Every brown sugar freckle that the Lord put on
ya, How you lean to left, 45 degrees, right before you're gonna kiss me / If
you can't tell / I've been paying close attention to your details."
Those love-struck lyrics sung by Currington were co-written by Sterling,
Kansas native Nicolle Galyon.
Currington’s soulful ballad hit the radio Monday, Aug. 5, and is
expected to be featured on his seventh studio album. His most recent album,
Summer Forever, which was released in 2015, spawned No. 1 hits “Don’t It,” “It
Don’t Hurt Like It Used To” and “Do I Make You Wanna.”
Galyon will kick off the Kansas State Fair’s 2019 Nex-Tech
Wireless Grandstand concert series Friday, Sept. 6, opening for Bobby Bones and
the Raging Idiots. She will perform many of her Top 40 hits, including No. 1
singles “Tequila” (Dan + Shay), Automatic (Mirada Lambert), "All The
Pretty Girls” (Kenny Chesney) and “Coming Home” (Keith Urban).
Her passion for songwriting will come full circle when she takes
to the Nex-Tech Wireless Grandstand stage for the first time next month. Her
family attended the Kansas State Fair every year when she was growing up.
“I think to this day I love my job because I’m still the ultimate
fan of country music,” Galyon told a reporter before last year’s Fair. “I still
can’t wait until midnight on Thursday nights for new records to come out, and I
still get butterflies when the lights go down before a concert.”
Galyon penned “Details” with Mark Trussell and Stephen Lee Olsen.
Meanwhile, her career continues to grow. In July, she partnered
with Nashville-based independent record label Big Loud to launch Songs &
Daughters, an imprint devoted solely to signing female acts. Galyon will serve
as president and run the label. Her first signee is up-and-comer Madison
Kozak. Kozak also is performing as part of the State Fair's free concert
series, opening for Lindsay Ell on Thursday, Sept. 12 at the Bretz and Young
Injury Lawyers Arena.
Currington, who has 11 No. 1 hits under his belt, performs at the
grandstand Saturday, Sept. 7.
Tickets are on sale by going to the Kansas State Fair's ticket

Check out all the lyrics to “Details” below.I couldn't tell ya what I did today
Or the day before
I couldn't tell ya what song just played
Or the guy's name that lives next door
Hundred dollar bills could be falling from the sky
Wouldn't even notice
But baby, I'm in tune with everything you do
I'm completely focused on every
5'7", 3/8 inches of you baby
How the salt in the air makes your hair kinda wavy
How you're tongue-tied when you mix wine
With the Gemini, baby I memorized
Every brown sugar freckle that the Lord put on ya
How you lean to left, 45 degrees, right before
You're gonna kiss me
If you can't tell
I've been paying close attention to your details
Details
I've been paying close attention to your
Iced mocha latte, one-shot espresso
That you stir with your left hand
Sleep with 2 pillows, DVR Kimmel
'Cause your eyes get heavy and
Start talking in your sleep
Fighting with somebody
You don't think you do
But trust me girl, I've studied every
5'7", 3/8 inches of you baby
How the salt in the air makes your hair kinda wavy
How you're tongue-tied when you mix wine
With the Gemini, baby I memorized
Every brown sugar freckle that the Lord put on ya
How you lean to left, 45 degrees, right before
You're gonna kiss me
If you can't tell
I've been paying close attention to your details
Details
I've been paying close attention to your details
Hundred dollar bills could be falling from the sky
I wouldn't even notice
But baby, I'm in tune with everything you do
I'm completely focused
5'7", 3/8 inches of you baby
How the salt in the air makes your hair kinda wavy
How you're tongue-tied when you mix wine
With the Gemini, baby I memorized
Every brown sugar freckle that the Lord put on ya
How you lean to left, 45 degrees, right before
You're gonna kiss me
If you can't tell
I've been paying close attention to your details
Whoa
I've been paying close attention to your, your details
Yeah, oh
