HUTCHINSON, Kansas — Rev up your engines! The Kansas State
Fair is bringing action-packed motorsport events to the Nex-Tech Wireless
Grandstand this September.
For the first time ever, the All Star Monster Truck Tour —
featuring BIGFOOT, the king of monster trucks — will invade the Fairgrounds for
an afternoon of destruction on Sunday, Sept. 15.
Meanwhile, the Demolition Derby will return to the Fair on
Monday, Sept. 9. Valued partner of this event is the Kansas Department of
Transportation.
“We want to end the 2019 Kansas State Fair with a new and
exciting event,” said the Fair’s General Manager Robin Jennison. “The All Star
Monster Truck Tour, as well as the Demolition Derby, will offer motorsport
enthusiasts, young kids and fans of monster trucks an opportunity to come to
the Nex-Tech Wireless Grandstand to enjoy two high-energy shows.”
The All Star Monster Truck Tour will include the biggest
names from across the United States to do battle on the Fair’s large grandstand
infield. BIGFOOT will take on two Kansas natives: the former Freestyle World
Champion BOUNTY HUNTER, as well as the top female competitor SCARLET BANDIT.
Also part of the show is the legendary MONSTER PATROL out of Texas. These All
Star Monster Trucks will be competing in an insane best trick competition, full
throttle obstacle course racing and a no rules freestyle battle.
Joining the All Star Monster Trucks will be Midwest’s best
Pro Rough Truck competitors racing over a course of dirt jumps and tight turns
against the clock.
“You can expect a lot of destruction,” said Jennison. “These
massive vehicles will race and crash, get huge air, do wheelies and all kinds
of things. They put on a great show.”
Jennison said those wanting the ultimate experience can
purchase the VIP Monster Truck Experience for children and adults ages 2 an
older. VIP Monster Experience tickets are $35 per person.

in Nex-Tech Wireless Grandstanding sections E and F.
•Track Party:
Access to track and trucks meet and greet with drivers, as well as photo and
autograph opportunities
•All ticket
holders will receive one ride on “Monster Patrol the Ride,” a 10,000-pound
monster truck (ages 2 & up)
All other seating is general admission. Ticket prices are
$15 for ages 13 and older; $5 for ages 6 through 12; and children 5 and under
are free.
Monster truck rides will be available before and after the
show at an extra cost to general admission ticket holders.
The All Star Monster Truck Tour starts at 3 p.m. Sunday,
Sept. 15, with action lasting about 90 minutes. The VIP Monster Experience is
from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Gates open to general admission ticket holders at 1:30 p.m.
