Fairgrounds Transportation

Can I bring my Golf Cart to the Kansas State Fair?

No. If you need transportation while on the fairgrounds, you can find scooters for rent as you enter gate 5 and gate 9.

How can I get Meet & Greet passes for a concert?

Most performers at the Nex-Tech Wireless Grandstand offer these through their fan club. Sometimes radio stations are provided Meet & Greet passes through the artist and have giveaways on air also.
Meet & Greet passes are not available through the Kansas State Fair.


Will the Midway close if it rains?

For your safety, certain rides may close during severe weather and reopen as soon as possible. Concessions and games will remain open unless conditions are extremely severe.

Will the concert be cancelled due to rain?

The Nex-Tech Wireless Grandstand is an outdoor venue. Most seats offer some cover from rain.

Purchase tickets by phone at 800-362-3247 or 620-669-3618, online, at any Kansas Dillons store, or in person at the KS State Fair Ticket Office.

Kansas State Fair Dollar Day

Admission is also discounted on Monday. Admission is only $1 for everyone, but show your Dillons card to get in FREE (1 Dillons card per free admission). So, if you have two Dillons cards and 5 people in your family, that’s only $3 for everyone. Plus, all carnival rides are just 1 ticket each on Dollar Day!

Ticket Pickup

Where can I pick up my already purchased tickets before the fair starts?

The KSF Ticket Office is located in the administration building on Poplar street just inside of gate 1. Open 8 A.M. - 5 P.M.

Where can I pick up my already purchased tickets during fair time?

The KSF Ticket Office located in the administration building off of poplar inside gate 1 is open 8 A.M. - 8 P.M.

You may also pick up your will call tickets on Plum street just north of gate 9. Open 7 A.M. - 8 P.M. 9-17th Open at 9 A.M. on First Friday September 8th.

Grandstand Ticket Booth is where you will find your concert tickets after 4:30 on the day of the concert.
Wristbands, and carnival sheets distributed by the booths along the midway. Times Vary.

Where can I get my tickets saved back for me for Collegiate Photography?

These tickets are taken to will call on Plum Street by gate 9 every morning for that current day.

Where can I get my tickets if I am a free stage performer?

These tickets should be held for you at will call on Plum street and will be delivered there the morning of the performance.

Competitive Exhibits

How do I enter Foods, Clothing & Textiles, Fine Arts, Agriculture, Scouts, Professional Arts or Floriculture?

All competitions with static entries are now located under the section for Traditional & Creative Competitions

When do I bring my items to the fair and I haven’t received my tickets yet?

Each individual department has their own receiving schedule for items and livestock. Tickets are no longer mailed and can be picked up at the guest service booth after you drop off your item or at the livestock check-in (Severance St.) where you show your animal health papers prior to entering the fairgrounds.

I entered an item in the Traditional & Creative Competitions but didn’t bring the item to the fair. Can I still receive the advanced discounted tickets that I purchased?

The answer is “No”. Exhibitor tickets purchased at time of entry will only be issued to the exhibitor upon the receipt of their item(s). For any reason, should you miss the designated receiving hours or choose not to bring your entry, waives the right to receive your tickets. The Kansas State Fair has a “No Refund Policy”.

I entered into the fair and forgot to pay for my entries / advanced discounted tickets. Can I pay when I arrive at the fair?

No. All payments must be made by the entry deadline date, July 15, 2017 for Midwest Ford Grand Drive Entries (Youth Show) and August 15, 2017 for Traditional & Creative Competitions. If payment is not made by the deadline, your entry is not valid and tickets will not be issued.

I exhibit livestock and would like to purchase a parking hang tag to park on the grounds. Where do I do this?

Parking hangtags are only available to livestock exhibitors. These are purchased during the entry process at Step #2 - directly at the top of the page. It is the first class option in the dropdown.


Can we tent at the Kansas State Fair?

CAMPING: Tent camping is not allowed on Fairgrounds property (inside the fenced area of the Fairgrounds) per Kansas Administrative Regulation, K.A.R. 116-4-2. Camping with cots or sleeping bags, or in front of or around livestock facilities is not allowed. RV Camping with electrical hookup, water and sewer may be available in the Kansas State Fair RV Park. Reservations are accepted for those staying twelve days at a fee of $450.00.
