John "Br. John" Anderson is a 6 time, Best Of KC Fringe Fest Venue Award" winner for his one person, historical themed, musical tribute shows. The Motivational storyteller, Cultural Oral historian, Tribute vocalist has presented life stories of classic, recording artists ranging from, Bob Marley, Sam Cooke, Cab Calloway, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding and Smokey Robinson.
He is a group member of the Literacy/Math, family friendly, music empowerment program titled, "The Jazz Storytellers" affiliated with the American Jazz Museum of Kansas City. He is the co-lead vocalist of the group, "Brass Rewind" one of the Midwest's, premier horn/rock/dance bands. In addition, Br. John is the choric reader/vocalist for the 7 piece, contemporary Gospel Jazz band, "Trinity Jazz
Ensemble". I also had the opportunity to team up with a very talented vocalist and storyteller Ms. Suzette Woodswith Suzette Sing’s. We have had the opportunity to sing together at different venues for about 7 years. Such as The SantacaliGon Days Festival in Independence Mo, Old Time Blues After Dark . In the Graceland Historical Society in Mexico , Mo. Suzette and I have Sung and brought our talent at many venues inthe greater Kansas City. Also though other areas such in largeand some Charities event’s. We love engaging in our audiences of all ages. With enthusiastic, interactive joy.
