Karla’s music is a combination of poetry, passion, and faith. She is the founder of SHINE On Music LLC where she combines her two loves: writing and performing her original music and serving students in the underserved communities where she volunteers and in the rural communities where she grew up. As a teaching artist, Karla has educated hundreds of children on how to develop their artistic careers but unlike any other children’s program she teaches them how to promote themselves 'safely' in a digital world. Her mission is to educate, encourage, and empower students in those targeted areas.
