Join Us for Hunger Action Day at the Kansas State Fair!

Help us fight hunger in Kansas! We're teaming up with the Kansas Food Bank to pack family meal kits for families in need… and we’d love YOUR help to make it happen!
EVENT DETAILS
Location: Oz Gallery, near Gate 1 and the livestock barns
Date: Tuesday, September 9
Free Fair Admission for all volunteers… your name will be at Gate 1 with the sign-up below for FREE admission, while volunteer slots are available!
VOLUNTEER SHIFT OPTIONS
We’re looking for volunteers for the following shifts — sign up for one or stay all day!
- Event Set-Up: 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM (5 volunteers needed)
- Meal Kit Packing (Main Event): 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM (20+ volunteers needed)
- Event Clean-Up: 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM (5 volunteers needed)

VOLUNTEER ROLES INCLUDE:
- Packing food kits on the assembly line
- Assembling boxes and applying labels
- Stacking and wrapping completed pallets
- Welcoming fairgoers to join the effort
- Assisting with waivers and raffle entries
- Keeping the packing area tidy and safe
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Thank You Perks:
- Free admission to the fair with sign up and participation, while volunteer slots are available.
- Entry into a raffle for one of three $100 Dillons gift cards or 1,000-point coupons
What to Wear:
- Community members are encouraged to wear shirts representing their organization. Closed-toe shoes and casual attire are recommended.

- Kroger Studios will be filming a segment on this event — a media release form will be available on-site or can be completed in advance.

Together, we’ll pack 3,000 meals and share a donation of $25,000 for the Kansas Food Bank… all in one powerful day!
