1. There must be more than one exhibitor in a class to pay more than one premium placing.

2. Tickets and parking should be purchased using the entry form. Paper entry forms must be postmarked by August 15.

3. Teams will be weighed starting at 9:00 pm on Thursday, September 15. No early weights taken. No exceptions.

4. Each team requires a different driver to participate. No one person shall drive more than one team.

5. The Kansas State Fair Board reserves the right to test and/or inspect any animal entered in Kansas State Fair competition for illegal substances.

6. All premium money will be paid directly to the owner after the Fair. Social Security numbers must be provided to Kansas State Fair office in order to receive your premium check

Entries are subject to the Kansas State Fair General Information and Rules

  1. Tickets and parking should be purchased from the entry form. Entry can be done online or mailed in; must be postmarked by August 15.
  2. On-site registration is discouraged. A $25 late fee will be assessed if not pre-registered.
  3. Weigh in time 9:00 am - 10:00 am Saturday, September 8. No early weights taken and no late weigh-ins allowed. No exceptions.
  4. This is a fifteen foot overload pull. The driver will ride sled and remain seated during entire pull or otherwise will lose the pull.
  5. Each team has three pulls: longest pull counts.
  6. All pulls must be made within a twelve foot lane.
  7. No striking or whipping of the horses will be allowed.
  8. Use of profanity and/or intoxicating beverages will disqualify entry/driver.
  9. Drivers furnish doubletrees and helpers; helpers stay behind doubletree. One driver only.
  10. No heading will be allowed.
  11. No open bridles or changing of sides will be permitted.
  12. In case of break down, sled goes back to starting point if driver desires another pull. Reasonable time will be allowed for repairs.
  13. Three attempts to hook equal one pull.
  14. Sled will be furnished by the Kansas State Fair.
  15. A driver may pull more than one team.
  16. If for some reason a driver is unable to perform his duties after sending in entry form, another driver may fill in.
  17. The Kansas State Fair Board reserves the right to test and/or inspect any animal entered in Kansas State Fair competition for illegal substances.
  18. Premium money will be paid to the owner after the Fair. Completed W-9 must be included with entry form in order to receive your premium check.
  19. Any movement of the sled will be considered a pull.
  20. After sled is spotted, if team steps over line or knocks the ball out, sled will be pulled back to starting point. Live judge has discretion to decide pull; decision is final.
