Candidates to Participate in Gubernatorial Debate, Stump Speeches at Kansas State Fair on Saturday,

Hutchinson, Kan. (Sept. 4, 2018) – Candidates for governor and other Kansas public offices will descend on the Kansas State Fair this Saturday, September 8, to give their point of view on Kansas’ future.

A gubernatorial debate is slated for 11:00 a.m. at the Bretz & Young Injury Lawyers Arena and will be broadcast live by sponsor WIBW Radio.

Candidates for various positions are also speaking individually as part of “Stumpin’ For Votes” throughout the day in the House of Capper, sponsored by Gatehouse Media:

10:20 a.m. Lassey Murphy (Kansas House of Representatives)
10:40 a.m. Jason Probst (Kansas House of Representatives)
12:00 p.m. Sarah Swain (Attorney General)
12:20 p.m. James Hannon (State Board of Education #7)
12:40 p.m. Greg Orman (Governor)
1:00 p.m. Kris Kobach (Governor)
1:20 p.m. Rob Hodgkinson (Secretary of State)
1:40 p.m. Rick Kloos (Governor)
2:00 p.m. Derek Schmidt (Attorney General)

Legislators who dare to enter the livestock show ring will be participating in Legislative Showmanship at 1:30 p.m. in the Prairie Pavilion, coached by 4-H and FFA members.
