PRE-FAIR SET UP GATE HOURS

Gate Hours for Fair Set-up

Beginning Thursday, August 21, 2025 - Thursday, Sept. 4, the Fairgrounds will be closed to the public and the Traffic Dept. will be manning all open outside gates.

GATE SCHEDULE

Gate #1 - Will be manned 24 hrs a day.

Gate #3 - Will be open and manned from 7:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M.

Gate #7 - Will be manned 7:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M.

Gate #10 - Will be open and manned from 6:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M (Sept. 4 Only)

Gate #11 - Will be open and manned from 6 A.M. to 11 P.M. (Sept. 4 Only)

The Traffic Department will direct Exhibitors for merchandise drop off and parking upon gate entry.

Beginning Friday, September 5^th the Gate hours will be:

Gate One This gate will be manned 24 hrs. a day.
Gate Three This gate will be open and manned from 6 A.M. to 11 P.M.
Gate Seven This gate will be manned 24 hrs. a day.
Gate Ten This gate will be open and manned from 6 A.M. to 11 P.M.
Gate Eleven This gate will be open and manned from 7 A.M. to 11 P.M.

GATE HOURS SEPT. 5-14, 2025
Patrons need a ticket to enter the fairgrounds during these hours:
Friday, Sept. 5: 11 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Sept. 6-13: 7 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 14: 7 a.m. - 6 p.m.

The Ticket Office will be open Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM, starting July 1 - Sept. 4, 2025, and will be open until 8pm, Sept. 5 - 14. For inquiries outside the above dates, please call the Administration Office, 620-669-3600.

Location
Hutchinson has been the site of the official Kansas State Fair since 1913. The Fairgrounds is located at 2000 N. Poplar, Hutchinson.

Directions

If you’re coming from Wichita, it’s easy to get to Hutchinson:

1 – Take K-96 West until you get to the Yoder exit. Head north on Yoder road into Hutchinson, past the airport and it will turn into 17th Street. This road will take you right to the fairgrounds. If you want to avoid congestion during busy times, cut north to 30th Street and then come into the north side of the grounds on Plum or Main.

2- If you’re aiming for the west or northwest side of the grounds, consider taking K-96 to South Hutchinson and continue north to downtown Hutchinson, where you can take either Adams Street or Main Street.

3 – Take I-35 North to Newton and head west on Highway 50 to the Yoder Road/Airport Road exit. Exit right and head north past the airport where it turns into 17th Street. This road will take you straight to the fairgrounds.

Gate 1 is the only entrance that is open 24 hours during non-fair time. For other entrances, check with the event you will be attending.
