2024 Summer Ag Adventures

New this summer, the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson, Kansas presents the Summer Ag Adventures Series. Elementary school students can join us in the Education Center on one of six different Saturday's throughout June and July from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. During these three-hour adventures, kids will have a chance to:

  • Hear child friendly stories about agriculture, and learn more about the farm, our food and how the two are connected.
  • Play Kansas themed trivia games and bingo.
  • Learn about soil and then create a garden in a glove to take home, re-plant, and watch grow into full sized vegetables. Then, create their own dirt cups to eat complete with gummy worms.
  • Learn how Kansas grows all the ingredients for pizza, and even make their own pizza to have for lunch!
  • Adopt a farm animal pet rock to take home to remember your Summer Ag Adventure.
Cost of the Summer Ag Adventure is $10 per child, and includes all activity supplies, a snack and lunch.
