Born and raised in the heart of Knoxville, Tennessee, Cody Lee’s life took a turn when he moved to the small town of McDonough, Georgia. There, he found himself on the football field, dreaming big and chasing a future in sports. Life has a way of guiding us to our true passions, and after a few injuries sidelined his athletic dreams, Cody found himself at a crossroads.
In 2012, at just 19 years old, Cody made a bold move to South Florida, where his journey in music truly began. It was there that he picked up his first guitar drawing inspiration from legends like Kenny Chesney and Randy Travis, Cody started to carve out his own unique sound with a nod to tradition.
With fierce determination, he took to the stage, playing at every venue that would have him. He recorded his debut single, “Bad Things,” which resonated deeply with the community of Davie, Florida, where he built a loyal following. The response was overwhelming, and soon after, Cody moved back to Georgia, where he continued to write and record, opening doors he had only dreamed of.
Cody's music struck a chord with listeners, and his singles “Best Years” and “Bad Things” soared to the top of Atlanta’s largest radio station, 94.9 The Bull, where they held the top spot for an impressive 20 weeks on Backyard Country.
Now residing in Nashville, Cody is a testament to the power of resilience and the pursuit of one’s true calling, reminding us all that sometimes, the greatest journeys come from chasing our dreams
