2019 Collegiate Photo Contest Results

The Kansas State Fair's Collegiate Photo Intern Program is a free program available to any student currently enrolled at a Kansas college or university. Photographers who signed up for the 2019 competition spent three-hour shifts taking candid shots across the Fairgrounds. For more information on next year's competition, visit our Education Page.

BEST OVERALL PHOTO

Grand Champion overall: Boy and Ducks

The first-place winner will receive a Kansas State Fair rosette and $50.


Reserve Overall - Juggler

Abigail Egerstaffer

Hutchinson Community College


The second-place winner will receive a Kansas State Fair Rosette and $25.



PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD

At the conclusion of the fair, 15 photos were selected by professional photographers for the People's Choice competition. The public voted for their favorite of those photos.

Champion: Circus Man

The first-place intern will receive a Grand Champion rosette and $50.



Reserve - Juggler

The second-pace winner will receive a Kansas State Fair rosette and $25.



BEST FOOD PHOTO

The KSF Photo Intern whose Food Photo is selected will receive a Kansas State Fair rosette and $50.



BEST ACTION PHOTO

Champion: Boy and Ducks

The KSF Photo Intern whose Action Photo is selected will receive a Kansas State Fair rosette and $50.



BEST AGRICULTURE PHOTO

Interns submitted a minimum of three photos and a maximum of five photos depicting a series or sequence of an ag-related event at the Kansas State Fair.

Champion: Red-Haired GIrl

The Kansas State Fair intern whose Agriculture Photo Series is selected will have that photo series submitted to the International Association of Fairs and Expositions and will receive a Kansas State Fair rosette and $50.
