STALLING: Kansas State Fair Stall Reservation Form must be postmarked by August 15. Reserve stalls online or mail a copy of form along with payment to the Kansas State Fair.

ENTRY FEES: Halter Show-$20 per animal per class (plus $5 ALSA fee per animal); Performance Show-$15 per animal per class (plus $5 ALSA fee per animal). All late entries will be $30 per class. Entry fees, payable to Golden Plains Llama Association along with copy of registration form must be sent to Glenna Overmiller, 617 S. Monroe, Smith Center, KS 66967 by August 15. Premium payments offered by Golden Plains Llama Association are generated by entry fees assessed.

NON-MEMBER FEE: Exhibitors who are not members of ALSA will pay a $50 per farm or youth $15 non-member fee for showing their animals in ALSA Llama Shows. Fee payable to Golden Plains Llama Association and sent to Glenna Overmiller. For more ALSA membership information contact, Robin Turell, 17102 Mueschke Rd., Cypress, TX 77433.

SCHEDULE: Animals should not arrive before 10:00 am, Thursday, September 6. All llamas must be in place by 10:00 pm, Thursday, September 6. All exhibits shall remain in place until after the show. Animals must vacate stalls by Saturday, September 8, at 8:00 am. Exhibitors meeting at 7:30 am on day of show, at show arena.

  1. There must be more than one exhibitor in a class to pay more than one premium placing.
  2. ALSA members must present ALSA membership card or a copy of the Membership Directory to show management to verify their membership.
  3. Class substitutions may be made by the exhibitor until 12:00 noon, September 6.
  4. This show is approved by the Alpaca & Llama Show Association, Inc. All rules and guidelines for this show will be in accordance with the latest Edition ALSA Handbook. All llamas entered in approved halter classes must be registered or listed with the ILR or the CLRC except llamas entered in the non-breeder or youth classes. Exhibitors must bring copies of the certificates to the show.
  5. Llamas recorded with ALSA for point accumulation must provide their Llama's ALSA number to show management. Please write ALSA membership number in space provided on back of the entry form.
  6. Final breakdown will be determined by the actual number of entries entered.
  7. Llamas may only be entered in one performance division (youth novice or advance).
  8. One judge will be used. The order of events will be announced the day of the show.

Get Sire Requirements:

  1. Each entry must include three offspring by the same sire. They shall be declared and entered in the show by name prior to the beginning of the Get of Sire class.
  2. The Get may represent offspring of either sex.
  3. The Get must represent offspring by at least two different dams.
  4. All Get must first be shown in their appropriate halter class age division.
  5. The sire must not be shown in this class.

Produce of Dam Requirements:

  1. Each entry must include two offspring by the same dam. They shall be declared and entered in the show by name prior to the beginning of the Produce of Dam class.
  2. Produce may be represented by offspring of either sex.
  3. All Produce must be shown in their appropriate halter class age division.
  4. The dam will not be shown in this class.
