Code of Ethics

NATIONAL SHOW RING CODE OF ETHICS:The Kansas State Fair is a member of the North American Livestock Show and Rodeo Managers Association, whose membership has approved the adoption of The National Show Ring Code of Ethics (available upon request). Please observe the following:

  1. No participant shall be eligible to enter, compete, or be eligible to win a premium, if he/she has been disqualified from competition in a member show of the North American Livestock Show and Rodeo Managers Association, or those Livestock Exhibition(s), Show(s), and Sales(s) that endorse The National Show Ring Code of Ethics, or has had a premium withheld or withdrawn on the grounds of rule violations involving deception, misrepresentation, fraud, sabotage, tampering or unethical fitting.
  2. Applying for entry to Kansas State Fair competitions acknowledge the exhibitor has read the Kansas State Fair General Rules and Regulations, 4-H/FFA Show rules and specific and/or special division rules and regulations and the National Show Ring Code of Ethics and agrees to observe and abide by these rules.
  3. The aforementioned rules, regulations and code of ethics apply to every exhibitor making an entry (online and paper) at the Kansas State Fair.
