The Miller Nissley Scholarship was established in 2004 after the loss of their son. It was created to provide funds for students to be able to take a field trip to the Kansas State Fair. The family wants students to be able to experience a part of Kansas, learn about agriculture, visit the birthing barn to see a new calf and piglets, watch cows being milked in the milking parlor, drive a combine in Agriland and learn where our food is grown. The Miller Nissley Scholarship application is open to any Kansas Public School K-12 classroom attending the Kansas State Fair. The funds are for payment of gate admission to the Fair only.
