Experience the miracle of life right before your eyes in the Birthing Center. A one of a kind agriculture educational experience that you shouldn't miss. Featuring newborn calves, lambs, goats and piglets, the Birthing Center is a delight for both the young and young at heart. Stop by to visit the baby animals, watch as they take their first steps, and see how their mothers nurture them. Try your hand at delivering a calf from "Bossy" the Birthing Simulator.
This free exhibit debuted at the 1994 Kansas State Fair as a joint venture between the Kansas State Fair, Kansas Veterinary Medical Association and the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Fair guests have the unique opportunity to learn about the birthing process, importance of animal agriculture, veterinary science and responsible pet ownership. The Birthing Center is staffed by veterinary students from the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine and supervised by Kansas State University Veterinarians and Kansas Veterinary Medical Association.
The Birthing Center is open for visitors all 10 days of the Fair from 9am to 8pm daily. Located inside Gate 9 (20th & Plum St entrance) at the corner of 20th & Fort Scott Blvd.
