The Kansas State Championship Conference is designed for SkillsUSA Kansas members to display their talent in skill and leadership. The conference is chaired by Kansas Business and Industry partners, hosting over 100 competitions, offering scholarships, internships and job opportunities to our members. This conference is the highlight of the year, for not only students, but advisors who have trained their students for this week.
During the awards ceremonies, many awards will be given to individuals, teams, chapters, and advisors. Those who earn the gold medallion in each competition area, advances to the National Leadership and Skills Championship Conference where their skills and leadership talent will compete against the best in 50 States and 4 Territories.
For those who do not want to compete, there are opportunities to serve on the Courtesy Corps team. This team sets-up and takes down the Conference, working side-by-side with business partners, the SkillsUSA staff and Alumni. A great place to network and make new friends across the State.
This conference is the highlight of the year, for not only students, but advisors who have trained their students for this week. The board helps assist with Courtesy Corps Teams; Prize Room distribution; Awards ceremony; Emergency Team; or anywhere assigned during the conference.
