Madrigals is the premier vocal ensemble at Nickerson High School. In addition to all Music Department concerts, Madrigals performances have included appearances at Wichita State University, Friends University, Dick Clark's American Bandstand Theatre in Branson, the Kansas Music Educators Association State In-Service Workshop, the Fox Theatre along with the Hutchinson Symphony, and Carnegie Hall under the baton of composer/conductor Francisco Nuñez. Throughout the year, Madrigals repertoire ranges from pop music and vocal jazz to challenging selections for regional and state music Festivals, as well as many performances around Reno County during the Christmas season.
