Caitlyn Ochsner was raised on a Colorado ranch along the South Platte River near the small town of Kersey, – an agricultural community where cattle outnumber people. Following her experience singing the National Anthem at the 2014 National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas as a 16-year-old, Caitlyn dedicated herself to pursuing her dream as a singer/songwriter. That passion and drive led her to study Commercial Music and Music Business at Belmont University where she graduated in the spring of 2020.
While in college, Caitlyn released her debut EP, “Home.” In this four-song EP, Caitlyn’s rich, powerful voice is blended with a heavy dose of fiddle and pedal steel resulting in a sound that is pure country. Caitlyn’s most recent release include two new singles “Look out Lubbock” and “Love Like Lonesome Dove. ”In the spring of 2020, Caitlyn was recognized for her achievements being named the New Artist of the Year by the Rocky Mountain Country Music Association.
Caitlyn has performed at livestock shows and rodeos including the Greeley Stampede and the Nebraska State Fair and opened for Big and Rich at the 2019 National Cattlemen’s Beef Association Convention in New Orleans. Other acts she has opened for include Joe Diffie, Craig Campbell and red dirt favorite Josh Ward. She is regularly praised for her vocal range, high-energy performances and genuine country sound. Her shows include 90’s country hits from popular artists like Reba McEntire, Martina McBride and Shania Twain in addition to current chart toppers from acts like Miranda Lambert, Carley Pearce and Kylie Frey.
A favorite with dance crowds, Caitlyn can raise the roof with up-tempo party songs like Pour Me by Trick Pony and then draw everyone to the dance floor with her rendition of Runaway June’s Wild West or her popular new original, Love Like Lonesome Dove.
