Thank you for your interest in the Kansas State Fair. We look forward to having you as our guest. Listed below are some helpful tips to make your visit to the Kansas State Fair the most enjoyable experience ever.

Free Parking

The Kansas State Fair offers free public parking. The public parking lots are located north and east of the Fairgrounds. The parking lots are designated on our Fairgrounds map as Free Public Parking Lots A, B or C. Watch for directional signs as you enter Hutchinson. A fairgrounds map is located on our website at Fairgrounds_Map.pdf.

Kansas State Fair Gate Entrance Hours

There are eleven gate entrances into the Kansas State Fair. The gate entrances are designated on our Fairgrounds map. A gate admission ticket is required from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily, except on the final Sunday, at which the gate charge ends at 6:00 p.m. Gate entrances 1 and 11 open at 6:00 a.m. The remainder of the gate entrances opens at 7:00 a.m. A fairgrounds map is located on our website at FairgroundsMap.pdf.

Lodging
 
If you're looking for a place to stay in or around Hutchinson, we recommend you go to www.visithutch.com for lodging options.  The Fairgrounds does have a 211-unit RV park; however, it sells out quickly and reservations are required for the duration of the Fair.  Click here for details.
 
Information Center

The Information Center is located just northwest of the Administration Building and is open during the annual state fair. Our staff are happy to provide directions and help you locate specific events/exhibits on our fairgrounds.

Pets

By State Law, no dogs, cats, or other pets, except seeing-eye dogs, hearing assistance dogs, and dogs trained to assist the handicapped, shall be permitted on the Fairgrounds during the annual Kansas State Fair.

Credit Cards

We gladly accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover credit cards for purchases of concert, gate admission, midway and meal tickets at our Ticket Office and at most of our gate entrances.
 
ATMs

ATMs can be found on the fairgrounds during the annual Kansas State Fair in the following locations: Expo Center, Meadowlark Building, Information Center, Carnival Midway, Cottonwood Court, across from the Beer Garden to the west, and at the corner of 23rd Ave & Bison Blvd.

First Aid

The Kansas State Fair First Aid station is located in the southwest corner of the Administration Building. Qualified first aid personnel are on duty each day of the Fair.

Lost Persons and Lost & Found

During the State Fair, all lost and found articles and inquiries about lost persons will be handled by the Kansas Highway Patrol Office at the west end of the Administration Building. After the annual State Fair, inquiries about lost and found items can be handled through our Administration Office at 620-669-3600.

Wheelchairs, Wagons, Strollers and Mobility Carts

There is a vendor on the fairgrounds who rents wheelchairs, wagons, strollers, and mobility carts. They have two locations - one at the north end of the Fairgrounds near Gate 5 and another near Gate 9 (across from the Expo Center). Transportation such as personal golf carts, motorized bicycles, motor scooters, and other similar devices are not permitted on the Fairgrounds.
