1 How many different breeds of beef cattle are exhibited at the Kansas State Fair and where are they housed? Beef Cattle are housed in the Prairie Pavilion and we currently have 12 different breeds of cattle exhibited during the 10 days of the Fair.

2 What is the Meadowlark Building named after? The State of Kansas Bird.

3 What did the largest pumpkin in Kansas State History weigh and in what year was it entered? 619.5 pounds and was entered in 2005

4 What kinds of insects can you observe at the entomology displays and where are the entomology displays located at? All kinds of different insects can be observed and learned about in the 4-H Centennial Building at the entomology displays.

5 Which building is named after the State of Kansas animal? Bison Arena is named after the State of Kansas Animal.

6 How many pounds of butter are used in the butter sculpture located in the Pride of Kansas? 850 to 1,000 pounds of butter are used each year depending on the size of the sculpture created.

7 Which building is named after the 34th president and what items are located in that building? Dwight D Eisenhower was the 34th president of the United States. The Eisenhower building was named after him. The Kansas Wildlife and Parks display is located in this building as well as many other interesting booths.

8 How many wars are represented at the Kansas State Fair War Memorabilia Display? The War Memorabilia is displayed in the Fine Arts Department in the Oz Gallery. The number of wars represented changes each year depending on the items entered in this display.

9 What is the State of Kansas reptile and where on the Fairgrounds can you find one on display? The Ornate Box Turtle is the State of Kansas Reptile and one can be located in the Wildlife and Parks Display in the Eisenhower Building.

10 What is the name of the lake located on the fairgrounds? Lake Talbott is the name of the Lake located on the North West end of the Fairgrounds. Lake Talbott was developed into a landscaped garden spot in 1944 and was named in honor of Joe Talbott, Hutchinson pioneer businessman and unselfish supporter of the fair for 50 years.

11 What street on the Fairgrounds is named after the State of Kansas insect? Honeybee Lane is named after the State of Kansas insect which is the honeybee.
