Ecology: Here Today, Gone Tomorrow Contest

Here Now, Gone Tomorrow
Threatened and Endangered Species

Research Kansas threatened and endangered species. Then develop a conservation plan for one of the species. Students are to submit a video explaining their conservation plan and the research data. Video entries may be done individually or in a group of no more than 3 students (of same grade level). Students may use info-graphics and pictures in their videos.

The contest is free to enter but entry deadline is September 1, 2017.

Here Now, Gone Tomorrow Contest is open to any 6th -8th grade student enrolled in any Kansas school or home school during the 2017-2018 school year.

All entries must be the student’s original work. Parental or teacher involvement can only be in support functions such as purchasing materials, answer questions and assisting with entry submission.

Entry submission must be done online by September 1, 2017.

The winning pieces in each grade level will be on display during the 2017 Kansas State Fair.

Video entries should be between 3 and 6 minutes long and should be submitted with your online entry form.

Judging will be based on the judging rubric that can be found at . All decisions of the judges are final.
