Ron and Carolyn Holland Scholarship

Kansas State Fair


Objective:

The primary objective of the Ron and Carolyn Holland Scholarship is to financially support the educational pursuits of Kansas State Fair youth exhibitors who possess outstanding character, perseverance, work ethic, ingenuity and demonstrated scholastic achievement, consistent with the values endeared by the Holland family.

Eligibility:

Must be a high school senior (school year 2017-18) and a current or past 4-H/FFA member entering an accredited college academic program majoring in an agriculture related field of study to apply.

Funds:

Ron Holland has donated the funds for this $2,000 scholarship opportunity which will be offered from 2013-2017. The scholarship will be equally divided over a four year period with a $500 allowance per year being awarded to a high school senior who will be pursuing a degree in an agriculture related field.

Selection:

Selection of the Ron and Carolyn Holland Scholarship will be based on demonstrated character, leadership, citizenship, scholastic achievement, stated future professional goals, as well as financial need. A selection committee will evaluate candidates with the 2017 recipient announced September 9, 2017.

Application Procedure:

  • Print out and complete the Application below.
  • Application should be accompanied by three letters of recommendation, along with an official high school transcript of grades or most recent grade report for the recently completed academic year.
  • Application must be postmarked no later than August 1, 2017. Mail completed applications to:
