  1. All entries must meet the Kansas State Fair General Rules and Health Requirements - all entries are required to have health papers.
  2. Schedule: Boer Goats must arrive from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm., Monday, September 11. Boer Goats must remain in place until show is finished. Boer Goats must be removed by 8:00 am, Wednesday, September 13.The barns on the grounds will not be open for the reception of Boer Goats before 8:00 am, Monday, September 13.
  3. This is an ABGA sanctioned show and will follow ABGA rules and regulations.
  4. Registration: Recognized associations include the American Boer Goat Association, the International Boer Goat Association, USBGA, and the Canadian Boer Goat Association. Original registration papers are required at check-in. Information on transfers is not acceptable. No faxes will be accepted.
  5. Pens will be assigned by the Boer Goat Superintendent. The pens are 5' x 5' in size. Not more than two senior does or four junior does are allowed to be stalled in one pen.
  6. Feed and Bedding: Initial bedding is provided by the Kansas State Fair. Any change of bedding is at the expense of the exhibitor. Any exhibitor may bring in feed and forage for their use during the Fair. Space in the barns is for livestock exhibit purposes and may not be used for storage of feed or bedding. All aisles shall be kept clear at all times.
  7. Age of Animals: Birth dates as listed on the registration papers will be used to determine class divisions. The show date will be the base in computing all ages.
  8. Bucks must be washed daily while on the grounds.
  9. Fitting: No artificial coloring or powdering allowed.
  10. Breeding: All animals must be registered purebred, fullblood or percentage blood Boer Goats and the registration papers and tattoos or other means of permanent identification approved by the Superintendent before the animal enters the show ring. Please put left and right ear tattoos on your entry forms.
  11. Tattoos: All goats must have legible tattoos or other means of permanent identification that matches the ones on its registration certificate. If the animal has a microchip as its permanent identification, the exhibitor is responsible for providing a microchip reader.
  12. Check-In: All exhibitors not checked in, or that have not notified the Superintendent with sufficient cause by in place time, will be disqualified.
  13. Stalls - dismantling or tampering with any stall panels or pens is prohibited due to safety concerns and may jeopardize exhibitor participation at the Kansas State Fair.
